EVERYTHING YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT EQUATIONS
A class to help clerical and non-technical people understand the language of equations. Four to six hours.

A LOGICAL APPROACH TO COMMUNICATION
A class on informal logic, designed to enhance powers of critical thinking and improve communications skills. Four to six hours.

HOW TO WRITE A MYSTERY

Amador Adult School, Pleasanton

6 weeks, 7 PM to 9:30 PM, beginning Tuesday, November 3

If you like to read mysteries, you'll have fun writing one. This class for beginners emphasizes the craft of writing, plotting and developing characters. Also covered are point of view, dialogue, and setting. Each class will include lecture, discussion, critique, and writing exercises. At the end of the course, students who wish will have a mystery novel outlined, at least two chapters completed, and a strategy for submission to an agent or publisher.
